I think peple have not completely understood what Radiohead is trying to say. The main point he is trying to make lies in this sentence:

म किन आमालाई नेपालमा छोडेर यहाँ यो जाठो देशमा बसेको होला है भनेर भरे राती एक्लै खुसुखुसु रोए।

In Nepal, people are going hungry.. nepalese are having hardships meeting the two ends. Lot of problems in Nepal just to make sure you get meals cooked twice a day. I don't think I need to enumerate those hardships such as bandhs, loss of wages, shortages of LPG Kerosene, sugar or salt... you name it.. there is no certainty of steady supply of these commodities... Being a Mother, she displayed her satisfaction by noting the availability of kitchen in the office in USA.

While the guy is having luxury (compared to what nepalese have in Nepal), Radiohead laments for leaving Mother beind in Nepal under those harsh living conditions.
