My experience also says use transits other than New Delhi. Baharein, Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, HongKong etc are good. It's a pity there is no Singapore Airlines any more.
I have to say we Nepalese need to learn also. On a flight from Bangkok to KTM, the THAI air-hostesses were very rude to other Nepali folks. Then I learnt that we steal soaps and towels from the plane's restroom. How far it is true, I do not know but I can just guess it must be true.
