Well, to be serious, there is a distinct possibility in near future we will cease to be a kingdom and the era of republic will be ushered in.
Now, should that happen, where would Mr. Gyanendra Shah and his family live?
I do not think they will continue to live in Nepal, given such humiliation that they will have to bear.
Looking at the atlas, I believe, they will move to England. Nepali aristocrats have been making "Belayat" a second home since the time of Jung Bahadur Rana. The British monarchy have traditionaly had good relations to Shahs, so chances are that they will provide the refuge.
It is not too much of stretch of imagination that Shahs have been hoarding untold amount of money in various international banks, maybe numbered swiss accounts, for generations. So, they could very possibly buy a villa somewhere in the country side of England and live like a blue blood.
