It just does not make sense to me. Most of the humanity is living on a borrowed life due to the advancement of medical technology and over production of food. And, these people are rich by selling to the masses. If they reduce the population, they will also reduce their wealth and influence. I don't think that they want to reduce their wealth or influence.
This system of capitalism is also creating many billionaires in India and China. Although, China has state controlled capitalism. Not only that, it has created our very own billionaire Binod Chowdhary from our native country Nepal. I don't think any of these people would want to give up their wealth. Reducing population means reducing consumers, which will reduce wealth.
