I think there is still a chance independent of Venezuela TPS since even Republican senators are open to it. Question is what will they get in return in exchange for legalizing DACA/TPS? Republicans will want border security, universal e/verify etc.
But I think both parties never want to solve the problem seriously. They want workers who can be controlled and who don’t qualify for benefits, like TPS/H1B etc. Longer they can drag the better for both. But I think this time there is a real chance. If not, it will not happen for next 5 years. Personally I’m moving to Canada if there is no progress by this year.
