It is not bahun or chettri mentality that is operating in Nepal. Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita has classified human beings into two categories -- 1) Daivi Sampat 2) Aasuri Sampat. Daivi sampat people are those who have some inclination towards spirituality and take Moksa as their primary goal in life. Hence, they follow dharma to reach their primary goal. Aaasuri Sampat people, on the other hand, are people who are materialistic. For them Moksa and Dharma are non-existent. All they think is Artha and Kaama (Wealth & Sense Enjoyments). In Nepal, Aasuric people have outnumbered Daivik people, and the result is a society where dharmic people are made fun of and wealthy people are worshipped.

Translation

Holding fast to such views, these misdirected souls, with small intellect and cruel actions, arise as enemies of the world threatening its destruction.
