Just wondering! If she had finished divorce process here, on what grounds she will file case in Nepal. She gotta do simultaneously if not what grounds a divorced gal will file case in Nepal- she is already divorced. Divorced in one country is divorced in other country, similarly marriage in one country is marriage is other country. Few years ago it was different, but now it have changed. You know all marriage being done for dependents and all to fly Australia. Nepal’s court must side with decision made by the American court. I’m sure there are lawyers who make money in the fear of losing wealth.
This I copied form US department website
Based on reciprocity, a judgment of divorce from a state court in the United States generally would be recognized in a foreign country that has a secular legal system. You may wish to consult an attorney in the foreign country to determine if your U.S. divorce decree would be recognized there. Most U.S. embassies and consulates have lists of lawyers on their websites that you may use as a resource to locate a lawyer in that country.
