I am thinking mine will be returned again as i haven't heard back. The only difference is that i didn't sent a letter explaining why i didn't re-register last year. Also, confirmed from Adhikaar that i don't need to include a letter, I797A with end date of June 24 should work, which i included. By my bad luck USCIS case workers aren't knowledgeable enough about this look like.
This is what i got from Adhikaar, and that is what i exactly filed with:
"Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us. According to the federal notice that came out on May 10, if you have TPS either until June 24, 2018 or June 24, 2019, you are covered under automatic extension. This means that you do not need to file for TPS this year. However, if you have never applied for EAD through TPS you can file it now with a copy of TPS approval notice validity until June 24, 2018, along with other supporting documents. Hope this is helpful.
Let us know if you have any other questions. "
