i am going to close capital1 credit card ..credit limit is 1500 and they dont increse my credit limit..always paid bills on time...balance is all cleared...still i heard it will effect on my credit score and will be bad credit history..is this true..shall i close it or not

might dip a few points if you had opened it a long time ago ( over 2 years ago). But, if you are not buying a car or a house right away then go for it.

If this is the oldest card, don't close it. If not you can close it, the score goes down for a while and will rebounce back later on. But it's always better not to close the account.
