Hi friends,

Can you please somebody gives me an idea of H1b cap exempt fees. I work in a non-profit religious organization and its ready to sponsor me but I don't know about the cost and process.

Right now, I work at another place without work permit. Do I need to leave that job to apply for H1 visa or I still can stick to it.

I need suggestions please.

It is true that all nonprofits are NOT cap-exempt. Only "research nonprofits" and "nonprofits affiliated with higher schools" are cap exempt.

I am not so sure about the current fees, but it used to be less than $1000 for nonprofits (all nonprofts, exempt or nonexempt), couple years ago.

As for your case, the religious non-profit does not qualify for a cap-exempt status, unless it can prove that it is involved in some kind of reasearch or it can link (affilitate) itself to a higher school (university).
