 China mulls high-speed train to US-Report

China is considering building a high-speed railway across the Siberia and Bering Strait to Alaskaacross Canada to the USIn not so distant futurepeople can take the train from China to the USaccording to Beijing Times Thursday citing Wang Mengshua railway expert and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

The proposed journey will start from China's northeast regioncross Siberia to Bering Strait,and run across the Pacific Ocean by undersea tunnel to reach Alaskafrom Alaska to Canada,then on to its final destinationthe USTo cross Bering Strait will require approximately 200km under sea tunnelthe technologywhich is already in place will also be used on Fujian toTaiwan   highspeed railway tunnelThe project will be funded and constructed by ChinaThe details of this project are yet to be finalized.

People are still digesting the news of Nicaragua Canal which is going to compete with Panama Canal, if completed and now this looks really amazing if it comes true one day, may be in 15-20 years.
