FORT WORTH -- An Arlington man has been sentenced to life in prison for fatally shooting a woman who rejected his advances while he stalked her for months.

Roshan Sah, 25, must serve 30 years before he is eligible for parole, according to a news release from the Tarrant County district attorney's office.

Sah pleaded guilty to the murder of Linda Villanueva-Rodriguez, 22, in January.

Sah elected to be sentenced by state District Judge Sharen Wilson, who handed down the punishment last week after the completion of a pre-sentencing evaluation, the release said.

Prosecutors Steve Gebhardt and Andrea Townsend told the court that Sah, a Nepalese citizen attending college in North Texas, met Villanueva-Rodriguez while attending church in late 2010.

Although Villanueva-Rodriguez rebuffed his advances, Sah followed her to work and church and was suspected of slashing her car tires.

According to court records, Sah left a single rose and a note for Villanueva-Rodriguez while she was at work that said: "For Linda! The more you hate me the more I will love you. U can't stop me from loving you!"

On Nov. 15, 2011, Sah was issued a criminal-trespass warning by Villanueva-Rodriguez's job. Sah also made phone calls and sent texts of a harassing nature, court records showed.

After learning that Villanueva-Rodriguez had a boyfriend, Sah bought a gun and waited for her to return to her apartment in the 2200 block of Henderson Drive in Arlington.

When Villanueva-Rodriguez arrived home the night of Feb. 16, 2012, Sah shot her in the head.

He looks so familiar but that was a sick attitude to have. I have known quite a few romeos who have gotten in serious trouble for acting like it's Nepal. It just does not work that way over here in the US. I hope others learn from this incidence.

That's not good...Totally not good for the dude.Love can be as hallucinating as LSD and all; I know, but still you gotta keep your thoughts in good areas. The law of Karma states you gotta pay for your every misdeeds and it will surely bomerang back to you no matter what.30 freaking years is a loong time and that's also enclosed in four walls and its too late now, though he would have whole time in this earth for soul searching, play soccer, basketball, chess, watch movies, read many  books, keep himself healthy to start his second inning in life after an era--if he likes it.As they say example is the best way to learn,it's always sad to learn this way...Ma Hasda Timi Hase Po Maya..Timi Ruda Malai Dukhe Po Maya....Sangai Hasera Bache Po Maya...Marera Sidine Maya K Maya?

Having gone to same scholl,  we could not believe  that this guy could  murder a girl. Used to be quite normal  at school, but I guess  no one knows what's going  in person's mind.

All he needed was medical attention. I don't think he is guilty as his insanity makes him innocent. He was not in the right state of mind. I heard he used to live with Nepali roommates. They were supposed to advice him about not stalking a woman if she says no. I ve seen many bitches who play games. They won't say yes nor no. I get confused what is that supposed to mean. Lost one life n now another. All he needed was advice n councelling from fellow Nepalese. The whole Dallas Nepali society should take accountability.

The rule of thumb is 'do not kill anybody for any reason'. I do not have sympathy for him just because he is a Nepali. Stalking a person and killing a person is completely different. I wish somebody had advised him better before all this happened.

It reminded me of an incident that happened in Kathmandu a few years back. That nepali guy had studied abroad and returned to Kathmandu to shoot his ex gf to death. What is wrong with these people. Firstly love is about giving life, not taking life. Secondly, there are plenty of girls out there, if one does not love u, then u can find another who will love u. Such a sad story.

This what happens when you watch too much Bollywood Movies. The old " Main tumhara nafrat saab pyar mein badaldunga."  People with this mentality need to comprehend that here in the land of oppertunity NO MEANS NO !!

And Gorikopoi you don't think he is guilty ? Are you kidding me ? So sandy hook killer was not in the right state of mind, so is the colorado movie theater shooter etc etc Once YOU pull the trigger .. thats it .. you will be held accountable. There is no if, and or but about it. I have seen many bitches playing games rey ? lol I have also seen a lotta assholes talk smack too ... like lets say you claim to have a big dick and you dun measure up in the bedroom, so should the girl shoot you then ? What a fugging idiot !!

I was just trying to  say it could have been avioded. He is not American n he didn't come from a culture where stalking is called stalking. He he is Nepali for sake n we all know how Nepaese r. It might be the cultural differences. I wana know the whole story whether the girl actually used him n ripped off his money or what? otherwise no any Nepali is capable of doing such a henios crime. U know how Mexican chicks r. But just as you all, I condemn the killing of any innocent lives. My heartful condolences goes out to the victims family.
You can't compare sandy hook, colorado shooting with this.

@gorikopoi you must be F**ing kidding me trying to defend this a&&h&le...why do you even wanna know if the girl was in fault.. YOU SHOOT or KILL someone means you r guilty... it doesnt matter if you are in right state of mind or not... he killed someone so he should be punished...even if someone rips someone off regarding money or whatever that doesn't mean one should go on killing people... IT doesn't matter if he is nepali or not.... DEFENDING such crime thinking he is NEPALI is pathetic... and i hope you are not related to this person in anyway... sorry for this guy but he put himself in such position,,, and he'll serve his sentence i guess.... AND on what basis do you think whole NEPALESE DALLAS COMMUNITY should be accountable...I BET he did not go to each and every nepalese in DALLAS and told everyone he was gonna kill somebody plz stop me.....I'm from dallas i has no idea this stupid a**h**e was gonna kill someone... HAD i known instead of trying to console him i wd have contacted authorities and they wd have taken care of it..... @gorikopoi... u sound stupid as you can sound.....

I understand your commotion bro. But he just needed help n all his friends might have been just busy working in stores n company with fake resumes i believe. I m not related with him. I don't even know him. But being Nepali i feel pity on another brother. He was thousands mile away from home n he ended up being like this. Is he single son? Was his parents depending on him financially? These things venture in my mind. Wish he could have got death sentence. Spending 30 yrs in a jail is worse than a hell. Tell u what Nepalese have unity to throw ANA n blah blah skanky parties, but don't have time to check this mentally ill dude. Ain't prople or his friends supposed to tell seniors n do something abt him? Like calling his parents or sending him back? Ain't we still Nepalese? Back in Nepal we used to know every  single household in our tole chakrapath n watch n help each other. I know this is America but what i m trying to say is somebody out there knew something abt his behaviour. May be his roommates? May be his friends? At the end of the day the point here is i m not defending this guy. He is definitely guilty by law but not guilty by his insanity. We all Nepalese should take accountability when bad things r done by fellow Nepali. We need to be visilant in our community n avoid future incidents like this. Have a good day guys.

@gorikopoi... You still didnt get what i was trying to say did you???? Had anyone known abt his condition i bet all the nepalese wd have come together to help him... How r people supposed to know whats going with whom and Dallas is not some toll Chakrapath... It is a huge metroplex... I guess if people knew who was abt to do what or who was abt to commit crime then we wdn't have needed law enforcements ...yes if someone had known abt his condition and knew he was gonna kill someone then that person should have done something... But ... Plz dont bring in whole nepali community saying we should take accountability that means you are also accountable no matter where u live coz u r nepali.... Is that what u r trying to say that you didnt do anything and u take full accountability on what u did... We probably found out the same way u did that he was a murderer...soooo

I had once seen a guy madly in love where he had posted a video on youtube, cutting his hand and all crazy. Now I get to see another fool who just gave up his life, career, everything in the name of love, women whatever the hell it is. Focus people Focus, study hard, get into a career , make money and live happily ever after ...dun run after a chik and shoot her to destroy your life. I really feel sorry for his parents and the victims family as well. May her soul rest in peace and this guy can go to hell !!!
