The clip is from Bahrain, and the driver is running over thugs.
Is it too cruel to wish that we should be doing the same with the hooligans back home?

Nepal bandhs are indeed sad, but doing this would be more sad.

A little more context on the clip: These cause the cars to slow down after which they proceed to mug/rob the driver or simply cause some harm to them.

In Nepal's context, what happens is not very apparent; Bandhs are primarily done for political reason. But there are plenty who use it for their own monetary gains. Also, too many bandhs and forced bandhs that cripple the economy and daily lives of civilians are no better than what you see in the clip above.

I wouldn't suggest taking drastic action like above, but it might be time we voice our distaste against these frequent bandhs.

Kiddo that would be a possible action if there was an apparent clean getaway ahead. Unfortunately, roads in Nepal are so congested that anyone who goes thru one such barricade will be stopped immediately due to lack of clear roads, unless they want to go barrelling over innocent bystanders as well...

In Nepal, there needs to be a citizens movement which brings together concerned citizens who set fire to the house (or something intrusive of that nature) of the politician who calls for Nepal bandh. Unless and until Nepalis grow the balls to resist their oppressors, things are never going to look up.

Rethink, yes, It'd be a little harder in Ktm. I guess Bahrainis will learn it from us on how to make a better blockade.

Your second para sums up my point eloquently. Nepal is divided into two types of people right now: Those who cause the riots/Nepal Bandhs and those who silently get oppressed by these rioters. We need the third type who can protest these protesters and ask them to channel their protests towards Government, not average citizens.
Ofcourse, Easier typed than done.

I remember some locals around Lalitpur standing up and opposing these nonsensical bandas not too long ago. Not sure how effective it was.

I wish we had a couple Policemen and genuince Politicians who actually had some balls to nab these culprits and ensure that it taught lessons to other pricks. We've seen Army men using power on danthes (albeit the major was clearly at fault). Police clearly has all the power and authority to do what's required. It's a shame that they enact as puppets upon the advisories sent by netas.
