 Hi,

Is there any Nepali bank which can link to American Bank ?

My friend sends money from American bank account to his Indian local bank account using SBI bank account(Indian bank). SBI charges cheap commision to do the transfer of money. He linked his American bank to SBI bank then SBI to his local bank somewhere in India.

I was wondering if I could do the same using Nepali banks. Please let me know if there are any Nepali banks which provide this facility and what is the procedure to follow ?

Can I use SBI to link my American bank account to Nepali bank account and transfer money from America to Nepal ?

Thank you.

I haven't heard any of the Nepalese bank that facilitates similar service. Eventhough if they do ( most unlikely),  the associated fees/cost will definitely surpass the normal transfer fees charged by Western Union MOney Transfer or other similar services.
I think Western Union Money Transfer is easy/reliable/cheap way of transferring money in the present context.

I would do wire transfer rather than western union or money gram if I send more than couble of  thousands. My bank charges 35 dollars per transactions and they will do on the exchange rate of Nebal Rastra Bank. They won't take any money on the exchange rate like wester union does.

Jhilke :)
