Things that make you go 'hmmm...'
South Carolina's Governor who is a daughter of Indian immigrants is adamant about passing 'anti-immigration' laws:

Of course just because Obama is black doesn't mean that I expect him to blindly be 'pro-black' on all issues. And I am not saying that Nikki Haley should be 'pro-immigrants' on all issues...but still...it does make me go 'hmmm...'

I hear you Babal Khate. Politicians will say and do anything to get elected and stay in office. She is playing to the redneck, racist tea-party wing of her party on this issue. Wouldn't it be poetic justice if a member of her family got stopped by the police in South Carolina because they 'looked' illegal?

She is trying to play both sides of the fence. The funny thing is that in her memoir (which I'm assuming that she is trying to appeal to a greater audience than just the ones in South Carolina) she is trying to play off the 'we were discriminated because we were immigrants card.'

As the only Indian-Americans in a rural town, the Randhawas experienced discrimination but were able to start a successful small business.
And then she turns around and passes anti-immigration laws.

Khate bro i think we gotta look the bigger picture in this issue. You are mixing immigration and illegal immigration, which are two complete diff things. None of the immigration laws passed till date( Arizona, alabama and now SC) is against immigration it is against the illegals.
