Hey folks! It's been only 4 months since I've entered United States thru DV. I'm currently staying in DC at a friend's apartment. I'm thinking to move to LA mainly to study Computer Science and get instate tuition. My friends say it's very hard to get a job (normal restaurant/fastfood jobs) in LA for an average Nepalese, so they are suggesting not leaving DC. Is it so? But I've made up my mind. So, I'm looking for any Nepalese in LA to share an apartment.

Thanks in advance.

If you have a GC, you can get a low-paying job anywhere in the US in the blink of an eye.

I was replying to your  question. "My friends say it's very hard to get a job (normal restaurant/fastfood jobs) in LA for an average Nepalese, so they are suggesting not leaving DC. Is it so?"

I hear there are more than 10,000 Nepalese in LA. You should be able to find a roommate easily. Try contacting LA Nepalese Association.

Sorry bro - FootyFan, I was too focused in finding a place to stay in LA since I know no one there and am very much worried too. I'm sorry if I offended you.

My sincere regard goes to C.Ronaldo bro. Finally I found a Nepali brother to help a Nepali finding a place to stay. Hey bro! if everything worked out I'll be flying to LA on 26th of June. I'm sending my name and contact number in your mail.

Kalopani bro! There are few Universities in DC, since it is a small city. Besides I'm trying to study in a community college and they have only one here--University of District of Columbia. This university does not have a good reputation. The George Washington Univ and Georgetown Univ are private ones and expensive comparatively. I heard California is a state for Information Technology. I want to study and work in a place with IT enviroment.
