A Twin Otter plane of Tara Air flying to Kathmandu from Lamidanda, Khotang district, has lost contact with the airport tower from 3:13 pm Wednesday. The passenger plane lost contact five minutes after it took off from Lamidanda Airport, reports said. There were 18 Nepalis along with one foreigner plus three crew members on the plane. Kathmandu is a 35-minute flight from Lamidanda. Captain AR Shakya was in command of the plane. Two helicopters of Air Dynasty have been sent to Khotang for the search of the missing plane.
