Hello All, My friend who is an American wants to work in NGO in Nepal as a volunteer for the summer with the idea of learning/contributing to just about any initiative within the realm of public health/nutrition. Does anyone have an idea which NGO would be great fit. Below is some of the interests include:

Supplementary feeding programs

Maternal/Child health and nutrition

Safety net interventions/Livelihoods/food security interventions

Micronutrient programming/Fortification Initiatives

Improved childhood nutrition status

HIV/AIDS nutrition

Emergency humanitarian assistance

I know an NGO named SEVA foundation in ktm and please ask him to visit some orphanages and bridashram too in nepal, 

Ask him do not donate money there but buy them new clothes, shoes, sweaters, blankets, etc and run a few days feeding program. Children will be happy with sweets and oranges.

When I was in ktm, I volunteered through Sewa foundation in assistance with Mike Cassidy from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He visits Nepal every year from Oct-Nov and do social service there.
