Does anybody know if people coming in b1 visa from nepal are able to buy a health insurance here in america? Does any company or organization offers these kind of services to the foreigners? thankx a lot in advance for any words of advice.

there is a very reasonable way and this is virtually unknown to the public most of teaching hospitals do have health insurance grants depending on income, and all the tourist also qualify for this service, This generally covers for most of the basic lab work,radiology, medicine and physician visit with a small co-pay. There is a medicaid liasion person or sometimes a social worker who co-ordinates this. Qualification is based on proof of income and does not require SSN. If you know a medical resident they might help you with this as nowdays every major cities have Nepalese doctors. I hope this helps

last time e insurance called me on my phone and told me they have something like that. I was trying to avoid the call by saying that i dont live in that apartment and i come from another country to visit for some few months only and this guy insist me to buy a health insurance that is for tourist only. I am sorry i dont have the whole information since i was trying to avoid the call but i do know that it does exist.
