hi sajha frens.. i am dam sure there are lots of accounting major form nepal and i believe sajha could be a good platform to share my problems... it might not be big issue to u guys...but , me as accounting major somewhere i feel bad.. i just finished cost acconting, internediate 1 & 2 nmy grades are B, B & C+ respectively.... n m pathetic because of my intermediate 2 grade.... Question to accounting major...do u guys think i have to retake intermediate 2 again...and i heard that class for accounting major is really important.......what u guys say.... plz do feel free to throw some advice..... i would really appreciate.....

yes ,you are damn right. Accounting major with B and C on accounting classes, not bad , but you will not get internship with big 4.. .Good luck.

I don't know it will help you or not. I have already taken Intermediate 1 & 2, Cost Acct, Auditing, Acct Info System, Tax Acct 1 & 2, Advance Acct and have A in all. I tried for internship too, but it may be my bad luck or don't know what, whenever I will go for the interview the first question they ask is about the visa status. When I say F1 they say, they will not take anyone whom they have to sponsor for visa later on. I tried to convince them talking about CPT and OPT and I myself can manage for the permit, but it was useless. I don't know what to advice you, but its my situation, still doin more accounting courses.

I have had a similar experience as Mr. OCDC.. I even asked for help to some guys who said they worked with big fours and other public accounting jobs in sajha forums...those guys said accounting job was a piece of cake.. but i ain't feel that way from my experience..

Mr.OCDC u must be absolute genius..........hats off for ur "A" in all accounting classes.............. just kinda curious...how u guys study..any tips.... one more i kinda have difficulties understanding from the book ans so with from my professor.... my professor he is too fast for me....and everything blank in my mind..... i know some indian writer book are extremely easy to understand..... do u have any idea abt the indian writer book ,where do i find it....i know its gonna be GAAP vs IFRS(india) but still most of things are universal...........

Mr. OCDC, The market is bad right now so have some patience. Since you got all As in accouting (hats off for doing that) I'm assuming ur GPA more than 3.5 or even 3.75. The hiring season for Big 4 is around the corner, August-September, no matter what, Big 4 hires around that time cauz they need constant pipeline of ppl ..I'd suggest trying for Big 4 at time around and visa won't be an issue with them.
