Dont want to confuse more but got some choices.

you can take the semester break but you have to leave the country within 15 days of the end of previous semester unless you can show some medical reason to take a break. Under medical condition, you can take a semester break and be within the country too.

Choice is urs, don't be more confused.

if u want to take a break, then show a medical reason. Go to any diagnostic hospital or emegencies and  tell them that you are really depressed, say stuffs like u dont feel like sleeping,eating, and even feel like commiting suicide and stuffs. and say that u have relatives in some other state and u really need to see them. tell them that ure really alone...and so and so...guff nai guff dinu...
the doc will write something like " need a sem break"...and thats the key to your semester break. you can take a break for the follwing semester as well by informing the university that u still dont feel well.
a friend of mine, was going thru the same thing that u are now. he did the above things and got a break!
