Get yourself a voice recorder or mp3 player with recording feature. If you prefer to use laptop for recording the lecture, I think the place to look for would be download.com.

Dude what kind of recording software are you looking for.. Video/Audio recording. Screen casts, podcasts.There are bunch of different softwares available for free
