hello people, My I-485 case status is pending. Currenlty I am employed and am paying medicare and social security taxes which takes a huge chunk of dollars off my paycheck. I am not sure of I have to pay those taxes becuase I am not a resident yet. Any suggestions or advice on if I can get Medicare and soc sec taxes exempt. Anyway thx in advance.

Nepali bro, when i was a student i had those items excluded from my paycheck. All i had to do was to tell the human resource officer at my university that i am not a citizen or a resident and won't be here to enjoy such great benefits as a foreigner working 20 hours on campus... they took it off.. try it...
