You don't want to get on cheap flights, they'll treat you cheap and make sure tht you are a cheap person as well. How about looking for inexpensive flights? There are 10s of airlines that you can get below $1500. my 2 cents....

If you just want to get home in one peice and don't care about the route, American Airlines has published fare sale to India. Check it out here If you can manage a ticket fro Delhi-KTM which costs from $200-$350 roundtrip, you can make a flight under $1300
