Hi, I am Lucy Ross from NY city. I got this site from a friend.
I am visiting Nepal before the end of April 2007.
I am traveling by JAL (Japanese Airlines) from JFK to KTM via Narita and Bangkok.
I would very much appreciate for any helpful reliable information on this route, cost, duration and convenience of the flight.
I would also be very pleased to share the company with someone taking the same route.
Regards
Lucy Ross
NYC, NY

Hi ...
I took the same route coming from Nepal to US (DC)....Bangkok -> Narita -> LA -> DC

The airport at Japan and BKK were pretty convenient....unlike airports in the US. Especially at BKK, they have a lot of entertainment for transit passengers. If you need to stay at BKK airport for more than 12 hours, There is a transit tour train that you can show you around the city. I was in BKK for around 13 hours and i didnt feel bored at all.

At Narita, the airport was crowded with thousands of passengers. At times, it was hard to find an empty seat. But the airport was pretty huge and had plenty of things to keep me amused.

I dont know much about the way back though.....well...let me know if you wanna know more bout anythin else.....

unless you want to stop over @ japan. i would not advise to travel along this route. VERY LONG.
i have used this couple of times because I was stopping over @ NRT.
otherwise it would be better if you look for the direct flight to BKK or via europe (O: unless u r savvy frequent flier miles accumulator (O:

one thing i had problem in NRT is the signs.. dyamn i cannot read KHANJI. it was tough to even make a phone call )O: but people are very helpful. one person dialed it for me (O: it was tough being an ignorant person )O:
====================================================
as always
what do i know (O:
