so far the game is good. i honestly felt that france was lucky to get the penalty. there was not REALLY a foul. anyways, france took the initiative and with zidane's kick they achieved an early breakthrough.

as i expected france went on defence after the goal. italy went on attack and through Materrazzi superb header, they equalized. i desperately wanted that. because once italy equalized, french charged up and then both team went for attacking mainly.

italy have few close shots on goals, one header by luca toni was ALMOST a goal.

i am expecting an exciting second half. can't wait. whoever wins, for me, i need a great final. however, it looks like Italy are on a role today....but then anything can happen.

i was neutral viewer in this match--seriously. Italy was one of my favorites until Roberto Baggio was around. i did not like france anytime. but I love Zidane. he is simply the best. i won't even blame him for what he did today. i just had this premonition that FRANCE IS GONNA LOSE because the "loser daemon" entered in his mind and told him to do that stupid thing. he is such a big star and a fair player ---inspirational. but look at what he did.

I still remember that Argentina holland match where Aerial Ortega was red carded at the last moment and dennis bergcamp scored in the nextg minute to thrash Argentina out of the world cup..

bornfree, hurray cannot stand italy winning. italy has been the best team in the tournament simply because no team has scored proper goal against italy. one was own goal and other was penalty which shoulnt have been awarded (even marsaile desaily former french player said that) but i have no compain about that.

If you cannot score you dont deserve to win. even germany with best offence and most score in world cup didnt score against italy.
