Just heard on TV that for Football to develop more in the US it needs to be modified. Oh ya so I thought why dont I start a thread to collect all suggestions and send it to FIFA so that mericans dont feel left behind. I start the list and please add as you feel. The best suggestions will be recommended to the FIFA for free tickets to the upcoming worldcup.

Here I go

1) It should be played in Quarters
2) the Offence team and Defence team should be different
3) There should be atleast 4-5 time outs per team
4) There should be professional foul, technical foul, team foul, etc.
5) Unlimited subsititutions within limited number of players (50)
6) World Cup Must be played in Prime time US
7) Every Second World cup must be played in US so that US team auto qualifies as host
8) Iran Iraq, france should be banned
9) The First round is okay, secound round must be played best of 5 and finals best of 7

10) Bring in the cheerleaders since American are lazy asses to get up and cheer for their team and they need constant encouragement from others.

11) And there needs to be constant break after every 2 minutes, so that the fat american players can catch their breath.
OR May be they need to set the weight standard for players so that their fat population could also fit in the sport, or even better the sport could accomodate their fat population.

Don't do it yaar! Football is one among very few things left untouched by American hegemony. Instead ban Americans in football (re kya!)

You guys forgot two important issues
# 12) There should be use of video replay
#13) The coaches can challenge the ruling of the referee

Don't you think this would have had a drastic influence on US vs Italy game?

# 14) The finals of MLS will be called World Championship while FIFA World Cup will remain the same

#15) The "Football" should be called "Handball" because americans play football with hands and it is clear that handball will be played by legs, reciprocal rule. This way americans will understand the game "Handball" Soccer.
