My school pays the health insurance only for 9 months a year. I wont have health insurance for the summer: From first of July to last of September. I am looking for a short- term health insurance for me, my spouse and 2 kids. It would be great if some body can share information about this. Thanks in Advance!!!

Rajaharischadra, which state do u live in? Try out some blue cross blue shield.I think they offer some .But the thing is this even if you take health insurance and do not wish to continue after 3 months it is perfectly fine.Health insurance works on premium so they care about premium.i do not think there is any obligation to stay with them unless it clearly state in plan certain service will be provided after six months(that is usually in dental plans).Short term insuances are usually very high premiums and they cover only certain things.for example: accidents. So if u cannot find short term if there is no obligation go for the long one just tell them u want to pay premium month by month or three months at a time and quit later.
