Land Bank For whom??

Many of you might have heard that the Govt has brought forward a plan called "land-bank" to "distribute land" to the land less. But the reality seems to be quite different.

Since 2021BS, the Bhumi Sudhar Yojana was dumped aside, and was not implemented properly. But now, the government (controlled by feudal landlords) itself has taken this surprise initiative to 'distribute' land.

The reality is this:
- the thousands of Bighas of land occupied by the landlords are under the de facto control of rebel forces,
- feudal landlords cannot sell this land anymore.
- therefore, in the name of Land Bank, the landlords (represented by the government) will sell their lands to the state, and take the money away.
- This whole transaction will be funded by World Bank, ADB, IMF...............

So the whole idea is to help the landlords of Nepal, who have de facto lost their land, compensate them, so that they could take the money for the land and siphon the money away from the country.
What benefit will the Kamayas, Sukumbasis, and the poor guys get, who have been tilling the land for so many years??

Ke garne? Yo hamro Nepal yestai chha.... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yo desh le pariwartan Khojeko chha..........

I suggest why dont Sajha-ites do some ADVOCACY with World Bank in Washington to stop funding this programme, until and unless WB, ADB, IMF agree to compensate 50% amount to the Peasant and the rest 50% amount to the landlord, so that the rights of the tiller is also respected and fulfilled. (RAther than paying 100 percent compensation to the Landlords only, as planned in the Land Bank Project).

Chetana Bhaya.............

In Nepal, constitution and law must reform for Land and Ownership.

(1) Nepal must protect border land from Indian invasion. Nepali police and army must guard all major Nepali borders from Indian.

(2) 15% to 20% person share to farmer and 75% to 80% share to land owner.

(3) Jungle, wild animal and natural, historical land must be protected by law and constitution.

(4) Flat land must protect for farming, cultivation and industries.

(5) Hilly land must develop for office and residency buildings.

(6) Mountains region must protect for national parks and resorts.

Hi Nice .
thanks for this nice list of agendas.

But how to achieve them?
How will put the bell on the neck of Biralo? And who has the guts?

But the priority agenda is to stop the Land Bank Project in the way the landlords, represented by the government is trying to implement.

Mohi ra Kamaya ko Adhikar kasari Surakchit Garne? This is the question. I guess the WB and IMF type of Guys know these issues, but they have always identified themselves with the ruling class, the appropriators.

If SaJhaites organise a demonstration in New York against the Land Bank Project, might help the poor Kamays and Peasants. And you guys get lot of respect and appreciation in this country.
Hows this sound to you ??

Thanx.
