Who said it? In what context?

Living a comfortable bourgeoisie life in a semi-industrial
Asian country that is under the heavy influence of the US of A, Maodai
claims that he is a true-blue, er, true-red Maoist.

Who is this Maodai? Can you guess. You have to use following clue.

Where is this semi-industrial Asian country that is under the
heavy influence of the US of A?

I am still looking for an answer, after 6+ years.
For my own sake. This is the mysterious person I have ever
encountered in Cyberspace. He vanished suddenly and
......... possibly returned to US of A: sink. Changed kachuli.
But, left that clue. He used to use erols.com's server, that
means he is not from Japan not from Korea or Singapore or
Taiwan. Where is this semi-industrialized country?

Hey,

Semi Industrialized Asian Country with heavy influence of USA?

What about Israel? It looks Israel could be one great possibility.
Its just a guess. I wonder whether there can be any Nepali
in Israel? Such a vulnerable country from security point of view:
You may die anytime.

Quiz:
Now, Nepal and Israel which is more secured?

If Maodai was in Israel, he could answer the above question?

If Mossad imparted only 5% of its expertise to Nepal, then Nepal would be a lot more safer than Israel. But at this moment, Israel is safer, I would say.
