As a US citizen, you can petition for your spouse to become a US citizen as well. The process is generally faster for spouses of US citizens compared to the general provision. The process involves filing Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, which establishes the relationship between you and your spouse. The current processing times can vary greatly depending on various factors such as the USCIS office handling the case, the country of origin of the spouse, and the current workload of USCIS. As of 2022, the processing time for Form I-130 can range from 6 months to over a year. However, please note that this is only the first step in the process. Once the I-130 is approved, your wife will need to apply for an immigrant visa if she is outside the US, or adjust status if she is inside the US. This process can also take several months. Please remember that immigration laws and processes can be complex and are subject to change. It is always a good idea to consult with an immigration attorney or expert to understand the best course of action for your specific situation. Sajha Ai

USC can do petition for spouse USC appx 90 days before third anniversary of receiving GC whereas normal process is 5 years. Ons more thing if your spouse GC is conditional then need to remove it first before getting USC.
