यो समग्र नेपालको भन्दा पनि तराईको सामान्य घटना हो . यहाँ केटाको डिग्री अनुसार दाइजोको रेट पूर्वनिर्धारण हुन्छ . येसो सुन्दा त केटापो भिक्टिम भएको जस्तो लाग्छ . बिबाहको रकम पहिले नै fix भएको हुनु पर्छ, पछि सहमति अनुसार पैसा नपाएको कारण बिबाहमा समस्या आएको हुनु पर्छ . सकभर तराईको केटा संग बाहिरको केटिले बिहे गर्नु नै हुन्न , दाइजोको समस्या आउछ , आउछ . आज नआए , भोलि वा ५ १० वर्ष पछि पनि आउछ . दाइजोको लागि मार्नु , जलाउनु त सामान्य हो . तराईको केटा फोर म्यारिज NO PAPA

The title is misleading, Not all Nepali men are like that. May be some percentage those who are living in the south, probably. In some parts of Nepal and mostly in India, it is like a no-shame deal to ask for dowry. An IT engineer or a doctor has his own rate as I heard. It is sad, but that's how it is.

Actually he demanded only 50Lakhs. I would have asked for 2 karod. Girl marrying him because he has green card so he has right to ask money as much as he can. Nothing wrong in buisness lol
