Some people are filled with extreme feelings of entitlement - being adamant their way is the right way and trying to bully, ridicule others into accepting their way. The recent case of person M and person P was a very clear example of this.

Upon investigating the case fully this was the final summary of the analysis.

Person P had some reservations regarding a certain kind of medication and was posting information to support his theory. Person M apparently had untold faith in this medicine and immediately started calling P a sheep after which P also started calling M a sheep. M went on aggressively to bring down P everytime P posted. P used the delete function to delete M’s vindictive responses from his thread which infuriated M even more that he went on to create a whole new thread to ridicule and insult P. The insults and insinuations went on to involve the parents of P. It is to be noted that M mentioned the death of the parents of P. At this point P started using extremely vulgar and foul language at M.

When this happened, the administration had to intervene and deleted the thread created by M in order to maintain order in sajha. M now became infuriated with sajha admin for deleting his thread. He was unhappy that his thread was deleted when P was the one who was using foul language. He does not realize that deleting the thread also deleted the response from P where foul language was used. His thread started the downward spiral that led to P's meltdown when parents were involved.

Each and everyone in sajha are guests and one guest does not have the right to try to make other guests leave as long as they are following the rules of the house. It is not acceptable for members to create threads solely for the purpose of personal vendetta against another user or their belief.

Thesedays beliefs are centered upon one's own circle of influence and education. People in villages may come predisposed with their own cultures and beliefs. In sajha everyone is free to express their beliefs without some self appointed police of morality going after them. What one believes as science one day can be proved to be faulty information the other day. Many medicines which were once approved by fda have been recalled due to adverse effects and death. So there is no absolute that we can take for granted. People are allowed to believe in these and other things 100% or people are allowed to disbelieve these things. People are allowed to believe in voodooism, homeopathy and anything they have convictions of. As long as there is civility and respect to each other.

In the case of M and P, P seems to have displayed civility and respect until M started being offensive towards him. P is free to express his opinions as long as he is not disrespecting others. I am sorry to say that even though M has a good heart and helpful persona, he is not able to control his emotions and not able to maintain civility and respect when facing someone with differing ideologies than his own. We wish him all the best in all his future endeavors.

People may be quick to draw comparision between the constant quarelling and bickerings that happens in sajha in which the sajha administration does not intervene. Day to day frolics is much too different from issues of ideologies. Please do not act like fanatics trying to save your religion. We can all discuss in peace. Fanatic behavior such as ganging up on people with different beliefs is not acceptable at all.

A member may be helpful in different things, but if the member cannot respect the right of another person to not believe in something that he takes for granted and starts attacking or ridiculing the other person, then there is compatibility issue with sajha. The core value that is expected is that of tolerance, and anyone lacking that quality may not be a suitable fit within sajha.

If one cannot accept the admin decision and chooses to spew constant negativity, dissatisfaction and personal vendetta then in order to maintain peace and order sajha will have to deactivate such membership.

Sajha provides anonymity to users while the sajha administration personal information is exposed. So any kind of personal vendettas against the admin are not only lopsided with one individual hiding under fake name and the other representing real identity, it is just hypocritical to throw one personal judgment after another hiding under the veil of anonymity.

Thank you and may lord Pashupatinath provide sense and sensibilities to us all.

I agree with San/Neo. As Ananda Nepal said somewhere we all have “kuntha”. But that does not give us rights to abuse someone and their family. We can all be adults here and fight an idea with another idea. Let all conversations be civil. It only gives us positive feelings. If we really have negativity toward others, the best way to channel it away is to hit the gym, go on bike rides, read a nice book etc.

Yes some of the ideas and theories that are presented here can sound ridiculous and laughable to some of us but that does not mean we have any right to go personal against the poster. Best we can do is counter it with facts and figures. It’s not in our control to convince others. We each have our biases and views and are just imperfect beings. But the least we can do is be respectful to each other.
