Guys,

I need a suggestion who were in or are in this situation.

My OPT is expiring next week, I applied to college providing CPT. when my old school DSO was trying to transfer SEVIS record, they found USCIS mistakenly had my last opt date in February, 2015. Now, USCIS is showing my SEVIS inactive. My old DSO is working with USCIS to make it active. However, the new school is saying, they cannot generate new I-20 until my SEVIS is active and my last opt date is next week. I am not sure how to continue working in this situation, what would be my status after opt expiry period.
