Nepal has generate a wonderful win against technically good Bangaladesh and opened the SAAF Championship games in a grand style scoring two goals to nil.To much surprise,Nepali players have played whole 90 minutes in full confidence with good coordinates among players, spot on strike and flawless one-to-one pass.Anil Gurung and Bharat Khawas were the heroes in the field today, sharing a goal each and that's too in the first half.Sandip Rai played spectacularly, not letting the Bangadeshi intruders to roll the ball in Nepal's area in much awaited football feast in Dasarath Rangasala which was jam-packed with thousands of Nepali supporters.Rohit Chand and Bhola Silwal played a key role to assist the strikers to score the goals and Kiran Chemjong---the goalie of Nepal--make it clear to other teams that it's not easy to score goals in Nepal's net.Nepali supportes along with the bald new foreign coach are much happy to start the Championship with a win and the fever is back again in the town to go all the way to the finals and kiss the trophy.

That was quite an astounding win, especially considering how the National team had fared in the past decade. Glad that the boys were up for the challenge. 20k crazy supporters rooting the team to perform definitely helped them live up to the expectations. It'd been over 14 years since I managed to watch the team play live but the feelings were reminiscent of SAFF Games in 1999.
Getting up early, at times, as early as 4:30 am for early kick-off (Premier League games) is one thing but man, getting up early to root for Nepali Football team was truly amazing.
Really psyched about Nepal vs India now. Been a while since we spanked them.
