Dear all,

The 9th annual joint convention of Nepalese Association of Southest America (NASeA) and Association of Nepalese in Midwest America (ANMA) is being held during the upcoming labor day weekend (Aug 31-Sep 1, 2013).

This year's convention is being hosted by South Carolina Association of Nepalese (SCAN) in the city of Spartanburg, SC (1.5 hour from Charlotte and 2.5 hours from Atlanta) at the stunning Spartanburg Marriott.

We encourage all Nepalese and friends in the NASeA and ANMA region and beyond to join us during one of the largest 2-day gatherings of Nepalese in North America. Please visit our website www.jointconvention.org to see this year's program schedule register today to take advantage of our early registration discounts.

While in the area, we recommend you also find some time to tour the award-winning Main St. and iconic liberty bridge in downtown Greenville. If you arrive early, you can also get a guided tour of BMW’s only North American manufacturing plant on Friday, Aug 30 or earlier in the nearby city of Greer. (Registration in advance is required). Check out all of the attractions we have handpicked for you here.

We look forward to seeing you and your family in Spartanburg.

Regards,
NASeA-ANMA Convention Committee

I always wonder what is the purpose of these Nepalese bull$shit associations.
You better merge all the Nepalese associations and form a common association called ANJKA-"All Nepali Jaad Khane Association"

If you wonder so much about what these associations actually do, perhaps you should look them up a little...like check out their website, event calendars, annual newsletters & activities, publication, etc. or better yet, you could get involved in one ore more of these organizations. There are several that are made up of people who are driven by nothing but the desire to voluntarily help fellow Nepalese in their free time, with nothing to gain but satisfaction and networking. And then there are hundreds in the community that come join these events and conventions because they reap similar benefits.

But no, why bother, right? It is much, much easier to sit at a distance, remain oblivious to anything they might be doing to make a difference, and make generic comments against all of them since they aren't solving every single bloody problem our community faces at any given time. Makes sense.

This isn't about me or any particular organization that I may be tied to, and you can rest assured I am not obliged to share anything. I, as someone who has had the opportunity to work closely with a few of these organizations, was simply stating a different viewpoint.

You, sir, almost seem to be proving one of points I was making in my post above.

Have a good day.

your DIFFERENT viewpoint does not mean that what these scumbags are doing in the name of nationality and nepalese people is right!

you choose to be different and sympathetic possibly as you are running one of these so called "organizations" or are affiliated somehow for the "better" of nepali in the US.

remember. DIFFFERENT VIEWPOINT is not equal to RIGHT VIEWPOINT always! being different for the sake of being different does not serve any purpose.

you, sir, SEEM to prove the point about these mills of "nepali organizations" I have said earlier.

you too have a good weekend planning strategy with fellow organization members for the better of poor nepali in the US!
