Van Persie is a good player no where to be compared with the greatest Messi. That goal by Van Persie is, however, by the deflection of Nasri, otherwise, its not that of a good shot. In general, van persie is a good player, though. If I would rank him today, he would not be in my Top 10 list. My Top 10 list (playing currently) would be:

Wasn't comparing them; I already said Messi is the best. Ronaldo fans revolt!!

 Ronaldo is massively unlucky in that if he had played in a different generation, he'd also be seen as one of the greatest ever. What's even more 'disturbing' is the fact that Messi isn't just 25, he's also 2 years younger than Ronaldo! One WC win and the debate on Messi being the best ever will be done and dusted. Definitely the greatest soccer player I've ever seen.
