Hi friends, have any of you sent iphone through fedex or usps to nepal? I know best way is to send through a friend who would be goung back. But, i don't have such luxury esp. I want to send it as dashain gift. i had a bad experience with usps so i would like to know of your personal experience and suggestion.

You'll get taxed if you send "luxury goods". Matter of fact, one of my cousins in Nepal had to pay taxes on a pair of Nike Sneakers that his brother (my other cousin) had sent from the states a couple years ago.

I sent it thru USPS long time back, i took insurance as well. and yeah they take tax in Nepal, i think it was  Rs. 1000-1500 then,
not sure how much they charge now.

but USPS costs me less than $100 and with insurance i can be assured :)
