Dear members of Greater Boston Nepali Community, GBNC, in association with MITeri*, will be presenting Dashain party, an evening of fun and entertainment on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002. When is the last time you saw dancers performing "kaala kurtaile" from the classic "Maitighar"? Well, you don't have to wait any longer. We will have artists from as far as Bridgeport, CT performing dances and songs for the evening. To make the program more fun and exciting, we will also be showing some interesting slides of the activities that took place in Boston over the last year. And, have I mentioned the dinner? We will be providing a delicious dinner which will include authentic Nepali food items like "sel roti", "alu tama bodi", "chicken chhoila", "bhatmaas and gundruk", and of course "khasi ko maasu". Some of the mouth-watering appetizers will be served before the entertainment program starts, so please make sure you come on time. GBNC elections will also be held that evening. And of course, at the end of the entertainment program, everybody is welcome to join the dance floor. This is a wonderful occasion to know new folks who have just arrived to Boston, mingle with old friends, elect new GBNC executive members, enjoy the entertainment program and do much more. Please spread the word about the party and bring your family and friends.
