About the program:
Mr. Chintamani Yogi, a well-known educationist, social worker, philosopher, and a scholar in eastern philosophy, is coming to the US for a 6-week tour starting in the middle of January. He is holding spiritual discourses, yoga and meditation programs in New York City, Boston, Vermont, Washington DC, Winston-Salem, Atlanta, Dallas and San Diego.

Mr. Yogi has graciously accepted to address the Nepalese community in Boston area on Saturday, January 20. A two-hour program led by Chintamaniji's discourse, followed by Q&A. If people are interested, Chintamaniji will also hold additional yoga and meditation sessions. We can make this arrangement because the hall is available for longer than we have programmed for. If you are interested, please contact shaileshgongal@gmail.com.

About Chintamani Yogi:
Mr. Yogi is the founder and principal of Hindu Vidya Peeth-Nepal, a not-for-profit school that focuses on educating children from financially challenged families. The three HVP schools stand apart from other private and public schools in their vision and objectives. By imparting moral and spiritual values, these schools aspire to create nation builders for the new millennium and go beyond the near-mechanized process of churning out literate 16-year olds.

Mr. Yogi is a seasoned teacher of yoga and meditation and holds diplomas in Yoga Education and Yogic Therapy. Mr. Yogi also has a B.Ed. in Nepali Language and an M.A. in Philosophy (Sanskrit).

Mr. Yogi is a highly visionary personality who is dedicated to the dissemination of the ideals of selfless service, peace, non-violence and fraternity. Whoever comes in his company is moved by his wisdom along with his simplicity and liveliness. He is determined to create a decent human society through varieties of social activities and providing his valuable guidance to several social and educational institutes. Due to the vision he holds and the mission he is committed to, he has received love and respect from everyone and everywhere. People easily get inspired by his charismatic personality.

To materialize his dream Mr. Yogi, in his own initiation, has established some social organizations. He is the founder of Shanti Sewa Ashra (SSA), a common forum of about 21 different social, cultural and educational organizations, which mainly focuses on selfless service. Similarly, he, as a patron, has been a guiding personality for the youths involved in Youth Society for Peace (YSP).

With the message of non-violence, selfless service, tolerance and inter-religious harmony he frequently tours both inside and outside the country. His visits have proved to be highly beneficial to many people for self-realization and self-awakening. With the same purpose he is visiting the US in January 2007, with new spirit in the New Year to reenergize, re-ignite and reunite all of us.

Mr. Yogi has received several awards including, National Sanskrit Glory Youth Honor (by Kabiratna Krishna Prasad Ghimire Smriti Pratisthan), Senior Educationist and Social Worker Award (by National Development and Honor Centre-Nepal), Basudev Dhakal Goraksha Nath Puraskar (by Mahendra Sanskrit University) and many more.

Mr. Yogi has also authored several books including, Gyan Prahelica, Stuti Sangraha, Hamro Vani Hamro Geet, Aham Pathami Sanskritam (Sans krit), Hindu Dharma-Ek Chintan, Bal Leela, Isha Van, Chinta Ra Chintan, Dharm Ganga, Chintan Ka Saral Sutraharu, and Myanma Ko Maya.
