Learn
about Easter Sunday

5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Everyone thought that he would overthrow the Roman
ruler by His supernatural powers and become like the great king David of the10th
century BC. Some of His disciples also thought that in His kingdom they would
sit at his right and left hand. Peter lauded his willingness to die with this
great king. What he probably thought, however, was that this great king would never
die, therefore making such a claim no longer problematic because it would never
come to pass. On other occasions He commanded dead bodies to come to the life,
healed leprosy, walked on the water, delivered a demon possessed young man, and
cursed the fig tree, which immediately withered. It was reported that on one occasion
he fed five thousand and another four thousand. Thousands of people were amazed
by his teaching. Yes, absolutely he was so powerful.
When they were seeking to arrest Him he could have
cursed them all or commanded his divine army to destroy them all at once. However,
he submitted his life into the hands of wicked priests, corrupt Roman soldiers,
and Jewish guards. Consequently, He died—physically and vulnerably—yet rose
from the dead gloriously after three days.
This Sunday is Easter Sunday. You are invited to
