Invitation to the Nepali new year 2065 program
ANMN cordially invites you to the annual Nepali New year celebration event to be held on April 19th, 2008 (Saturday). The program will consist of dinner prepared by local Nepali families and a cultural program where you will see some new and some old local performers. Furthermore, there will also be brief presentations on ANMN activities.
Our goal in organizing a program like this is not only to provide entertainment although it is an essential part of it. The bigger picture is a hope that such an event will provide an opportunity for Nepalese and their friends living in the Minnesota area to reaffirm, reassert and reconnect to our roots and connections to Nepal.
As new generation of Americans with Nepali heritage plant their roots here, we hope programs like this will play some role in helping them to understand and navigate through two traditions, and accept them successfully. It's a small part of the puzzle, we realize but hopefully an important piece.
Please bring your family and friends and usher in the new year with other friends and families. Thank you!

$10.00 (general admission)
$7.00 ( if you become ANMN member at the door)
Time: Gates open: 5:00 pm
Dinner: 5:30 pm
Cultural program: 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Open dance floor, time permitting, till the closing time.
