Hey guys..Everyone is talking abt new nepal.How abt giving Nepal itself a new name..Can u guys suggest any new name for nepal...???

How about BHEDAL?

since it satisfies in terms of bharat, old nepal and the way we are.

So we are soon going to be called a Federal Democratic Socialist Republic of Nepal (FDSRN). Our new comrade rulers shouldn’t be too worried by this, it doesn’t mean we really have to be democratic. After all, DPRK is also supposedly “democratic”. We won’t really have to be socialist, either, just Stalinist.

The only thing that has not yet been changed in this theatrical transformation of our great nation is the country’s name. Politically incorrect in this day and age that Nepal is the name bequeathed to us by a feudal medieval monarch.

So what to call us? The Ass’ informal poll at a focus group discussion at the neighbourhood watering hole the other evening came up with several replacement names. The most popular was Democratic Republic of Yarsagumba (DRY) after the caterpillar fungus that is worth its weight in gold and has overtaken vegetable fat as this country’s biggest item of export. A close second was Federal Republic of Yam (FRY) so named because we are supposed to be a sweet potato between two boulders. Another suggestion was to simply rename ourselves the Fiercely Democratic Federal People’s Socialist Republic of Prachanda (FDFPSRP) and get it over with.

All this, of course has to be ratified by the Constituent Assembly with a two-thirds vote, but what do we do till then? We definitely need an interim name for our country. And it’s cumbersome and wordy to call everything this New Nepal and that New Nepal. So, to simplify it, let’s just call this country Newpal.

NEWPAL...that's clever and awesome..  but what ever the condition is and what ever the changes are, we all Nepalese are proud of our country Nepal and we all still want it as it is...

Situation in Nepal is not matter of joke. If people in this thread are having fun by giving new name to their own country then I feel very sorry for them.

Nepal is already in critical situation and we should be thinking of development and saving our country. In fact, name "Nepal" is not given by any British colony so I don't think we need to change it. I strictly don't agree with even a thread of changing the name of country. If someone think we should change our country's name then they should change their own name first.

There is no need of new name for Nepal. Nepal itself is good one. To get change in our country only we need the change in mind of our politicians and the way of their thinking, change in their dedication to the country. Changing the name of institutions and the things will not create any rational in our country.

Naya Nepal is going to be 'HIMALI PRADESH' of India.

I know this is a serious issue, but......................... some of the names I saw up there really made me LOL!

umm.. Nepal is fine for me :) But if I had to chose I'd go with Fiercely Democratic Federal People’s Socialist Republic of Prachanda (FDFPSRP) OMFGROTFLLOLLMAO.

MOMOLand - I do no have to justify this name. Many will accept this than anything else.
Koiralaland - MP, BP and GP koirala, followed by Susila and Sujata...So what better the country be named
North Indies - If West Indies can be an independent country why not Noeth Indies.
New India - There are places in world named, NEW York, NEW England, NEW Dehli, why not New India
Prachandaland - If Prachanda becomes first President, those who vote him wont deny this name.
Remittanceland - The country is largely dependant on remittance,, so why not ...
Gorkhaland - Finally, but only if Subash Ghising accepts that.

The new name for Nepal can 'Bekaam' and the capital can be CrapManDo
