Don't Hand-over power to Maoists: Dr Karan Singh

Kathmandu, 29 May: Don't topple monarchy! Why the haste in declaring Nepal is no longer a Hindu state? I am a devotee of Lord Shiva. If you go at this rate, you will also uproot Lord Pashupatinath. Don't hand-over the power snatched from the King to Maoists, reports Jana Bhawana.

There are not words coming from a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party but from Congress (I) leader Dr Karan Singh who told this to leaders of seven political parties who met him in New Delhi.

"That declaration [by parliament of a secular state] was taken in haste," Singh said and asked," What is secularism?"

Singh advised the Nepali leaders not to deliver powers snatched from the King to Maoists.
