The Rabi-Balen Combo
Well, the RSP has decided to keep Rabi as the Supreme Commander, and to all the haters out there, the so-called Rabi-Balen political marriage of convenience will likely hold on till the next election. Until then, shut the fork up and stay home and learn some new skills on YouTube.
The old school corrupt parties and their jholeys are praying every day to Stalin, Lenin, Mao, and their foreign handlers across the borders for a break-up in the Rabi-Balen partnership so that the system goes back to the old 'mili-juli' loot method and every shady byapari and jholeys are then back to the same old fun. But it's not going to happen, Halley's Comet might show up early but we are not going back.
Rabi has made it very clear that he doesn't want to be the PM,, well for now, and if the ball comes to him, by mistake, then he is going to pass it back to Balen to score the goals. Well, it's the FIFA World Cup, and it's nice to use the 'football' language to clear any doubts.
RSP is Rabi's baby, and he should stand tall and work towards strengthening his party in the grassroots level and also amend the party's constitution so that folks who have no interest in misusing their power for personal gain will also be in the leadership positions in the ward, local, provincial, and the central level as well.
I think there should be an age limit and also a term limit for all RSP wallahs who want to be in the leadership positions. I think a two-term thing should be in place. You cannot be the chairperson of your ward committee for more than two terms, which could be a decade.
The same goes for those in senior leadership positions. I think even the chairperson of RSP should not be there for more than a decade. Until Xi came along, the Chinese followed this 'decade' team policy, and it worked fine from the 70s. Now, it's different and China will face a leadership crisis when Xi is in heaven!
The problem with our other political parties is that the senior leaders failed to groom the young ones for leadership positions and wanted to be the captain till they dropped dead. Rabi is 50, and he should hand over the leadership to someone else at 60. I think if RSP does well in these five years, then Balen can be the PM for another term, and Rabi could lead the country for another decade.
I believe that '70' is the magic number for retirement in politics. So, let us hope that RSP will work that out in its constitution as well. After 70, the RSP wallahs can be in the 'Mentor Committee' with voting rights, but not allow them to be MPs or Ministers or PM, but just be senior mentors for the young ones.
The RSP convention is going on. Out of more than 4,000+ delegates, there will be atleast 20% opportunists lingering around, and RSP has to be very careful when it comes to transparency and accountability. Any RSP delegates engaged in any shady deals should be dismissed and banned from the party. If you cannot have a strict discipline mechanism, then slowly, there will be factions, breakups, and the country will suffer again.
The football is RSP's court. It is very difficult to change the loot system overnight when you have thousands of teachers, police officers, judges, and civil servants milking the system for decades. The jholeys of old parties still hold supreme in our government offices. And it is up to PM Balen and his team to make sure that they don't give up the fight to punish the corrupt and promote the hard-working civil servants.
We are all fortunate that we were able to witness the rise of RSP and Balen in this country. We have to congratulate ourselves because it was we who voted for them, so that a 35-year-old could finally be in the hot seat and bring an end to 35-year-old misrule in this country.
