Speeding is Injurious to Health

It looks like our Balen government wants to sprint out of the gates and do a 120 on a 60 km/h road. Many of our old school media and so-called political analysts and old defeated political parties think that yesterday's decision to arrest Oli and Lekhak is bad for the country. They think the new government should show some restraint and not try to be Bruce Willis in Die Hard with a Vengeance.

But most of the people in this country think otherwise. KP Bla Blah thought he was above the law. And his adopted son, Bhogatey aka Mahesh Basnet thinks he has enough mundrey dons to burn our country down. Well, we see how this drama unfolds but Balen government's 100-point action plan for the coming days is going to be the chiya pasal guff for a few days and might overshadow the masal joo-loos and other nautanki nataks of UML cadres.

Even our 'Kaan Kaatney' didi was seen in Maitighar protesting against the Home Minister and the new government in support of her beloved KP Ba! I think we were all sad when some of us tried to bully her after Oli lost to Balen in Jhapa. She had promised to cut her ears off and donate her gold earrings to someone if Balen won.

Now, most of us feel bad for her because she still doesn't get it that the tide has turned and she should just focus on her business and not be viral again for another wrong reason. Yes, it is freedom of speech but don't go around saying silly stuff for no reason other than sounding stupid when things don't go your way!

It is her right to be a die-hard UML fan but she is not a mundrey don who will make money from loan sharking or stealing stones and sand from our rivers. She runs a small business and takes care of her family. I hope someone close to her will advise her to focus on her life and family instead of running around town defending her political father while making it difficult for her family, especially her kids who were reported to have faced bullying for her earlier remarks about Balen before the election. Her kids do not deserve the hate and even she doesn't deserve any hate for her views but sometimes, some folks just don't know when to shut up or just let go.

My request to our Home Minister is to get at least 7 hours of sleep instead of overworking for now. You have won our hearts and I think it might be a good idea if you could move your quarters to the police headquarters for a month or two instead of driving around town with very little security. The United Mundrey Leaders (UML) are not to be trusted because it is the same party that attacked its own lawmaker, Gokarna Bista many years ago, a day after he was elected. Yes, communist lots are dangerous and fight amongst themselves more than with others.

Most of the folks who voted for 'Ghanti' have high expectations of this new government and if our young lads and ladies don't want to waste time getting things done, then why are the old corrupt ones so worried about the way the new government is acting like Formula One drivers?

Maybe it is because over the past two decades, we have seen the same old slow and incompetent governments that promised us the moon, but did not even lower the price of lasoon for all of us. I think we will see our ministers working 16 hours a day while the sarkari karmarcharis will eventually work at least their required 8-hour shift instead of the usual 3-4 hours of work and the rest spent lazing around.

For now, the need for speed is very essential for our new government. These people are here to work to make our lives better, unlike the previous ones who were busy fooling the voters, promising them so much while peace and prosperity came for their near and dear ones, while ordinary folks got screwed over and over again until one day, they said, "Enough is Enough". And we should never forget the Gen Z massacre and because of the loss of innocent lives of mostly school kids, finally opened our eyes to how those in power were evil and were in it for their own financial gain while doling out all the pain to the public!

We will talk about the Balen government's 100-point action plan tomorrow. Let us enjoy the UML roadshow today as they have nothing better to do and there will be tons of guffs at our local chiya pasals and bhattis on the 100-point thing today. So enjoy your hot tea or cold local drink with your buddies and share your two paisa or cents on how this 100-point thing will work out!
