Hi Bimal and Neerma, I have asthma, I don't think asthma can ever be cured for good. You just get it under control. I take two asthma puffer. One is flovent and the other one is called Albuterol....Flovent has steroid in very little quantity, which helps against inflammation of your air pipe....I take one puff in the morning and one at night...You have to keep taking it....I have it under control for now...I take Albuterol when i need it...Hope it helps but you gotta go to the Dr. see what he/she prescribes you.

Asthma can not be cured but can be treated. Every person who is suffering from asthma has asthma trigger that most likely most of the sufferers know about. Best treatment( or I should say prevention) is not to come in contact with your disease specific asthma trigger. For example if cold weather is your asthma trigger then try to keep yourself warm. As far as medicine is concerned, Albuterol is a rescue drug meaning that it treats symptoms of asthma after about 15-20 minutes of inhalation and usually the effect lasts for about 6 hours. Any type of steroid is basically a maintenance drug, meaning that it prevents your airways form inflammation which is the basic cause of asthma. Hope it helps.

Bimal, Have you tried the flovent? Try to see if your Dr. will prescribe you flovent. Even for me, the cold weather and humid summer triggers my asthma, but right now it's under control. I am supposed to take flovent every day but right now I haven't used neither one of them......But you have to make sure that you try to get it under control...
