Very interesting information:

A 5-member family’s per month consumption of energy (in terms of rupees) in Nepal:

10 years before: Kerosene – Rs 180; LP Gas- Rs 465; Electricity- Rs 600

5 Years before:   Kerosene- Rs 410; LP Gas- Rs 510; Electricity- Rs 788

Now:    Kerosene- Rs 1,090, LP Gas- Rs 845; Electricity- Rs 788

Electricity price in Nepal was considered one of the most expensive in the world. However, given the skyrocketing of the fossil fuel energy in the past few years, we can see how the prices have flipped in the Nepalese market.

Does this factor in the 7-8 hours of load-shedding?.

We are practically using at least 30% less electricity and paying same as 5 years earlier..
