Its weired that your subject questions cannot be posted in sajha and every-time you are saying challanging, i dont get your point, it sounds like challanging questions cannot be posted here in public forum.

then send your question through sajha e-mail if your questions dont like public reading

Don't get me wrong. The fact that it is challenging has nothing to do with it me not posting it online. I don't want to post it online because it is my homework.

It's about the end of the semester time, and students, more so graduate students, should be cautious of what help they seek/provide to others with anything related to their exams questions. If you STILL don't have that academic integrity as a graduate student, then when you will????

This is a sorry situation.

I respect your morality Guest4. Wouldn't the world be such a wonderful place if everyone was like you? It is rather sad that cheaters like me with no moral values whatsoever exist.

When your questions are ridiculous for Undergraduate Level and Professors expect you to discuss the questions among each other but  most of your colleagues are too competitive and decide to seek help from their Uncle or graduate students or Lab supervisors, people like you bask in the glory of their morality and God comes to their rescue. There is also a second group of people that try desperately to read papers that they don't understand and try to get every help they can. They even seek help from unknown strangers of the web. I belong to the second kind!

I salute your morality but welcome to the real world!

gundrukbhaat,

Without knowing the detail of your assignment, I cannot say whether there was a breach of conduct or not, but just because some of your colleagues are too competitive or they ask their uncle for  help in the exam questions, which you were supposed to do on your own, does not mean that you should resort to unfair practices.

Look, I am not "basking in the glory of their (my) morality"--whatever that means, and I don't claim myself to have an outstdaning morality. I am just a normal (I hope) human being, with my own flaws, as much anyone else. But, I have seen people get into trouble for plagiarizing or resorting to unfair practices in exams. Few people I knew, who were in the last semester in their senior year, were kicked out from the school just because they cheated on exams. My only hope is that you, and some others in this forum who want to COPY  a whole essay or for that matter even a paragraph, do not meet the same fate!!

I would like to point out that your assumption that I am trying to copy an essay or a paragram is wrong. Ideally, I would like to get ideas from people and discuss with them my own ideas and they would be able to provide their own ways to solve a problem. However, there have been no replies yet. I have never cheated and have never plagiarized anything. I , however, have resorted to asking other people who are more experienced than me for help when the whole university resorts to such practices.

I thank you very much for your concern.

I never assumed you were trying to copy an essay or a paragraph. I said "some others." If you dig out old threads in this forum, then you will know who I am talking about. I don't have any reason to doubt your honesty or your intelligence. Nor am I trying to be a vigilante here; I am just trying to share how these seemingly "simple mistakes" could change one's life forever, especially when you are a senior or a grad student.

Not knowing what the circumstances and the instructions concerning your exam questions, I can't comment anymore than what I have already said. But I don't think your universtiy knowingly allows any students to engage in practices that allows students to seek help from others on the EXAMS that are strictly to be taken by candidates without any outside help.

I am glad that you took this positively. Good luck on your exams!
