though it might be non of my business what i think is that being a graduate student in biology myself, a ph.D candidate should be able to write a proposal for himself. you can find a whole lot of informations in papers, just search pubmed., googlescholar, sciencedirect, (i am sure u know better than me) choose a topic of your interest, search for literatures and start writing, consult with your supervisor and thats how it goes. if you are doing in moleular biology (in areas like DNA methylation, epigenetic changes or transgenetics) i can forward you some .pdf files or atleast give some link to those files (but i am sure all these are available online) dont ask for already prepared proposals, it doesnot suit a ph.D candidate goodluck CK
